How could outsourcing administration benefit your business?

Has there ever been a better time to consider how you and your employees work and by saying 'how' you work, I am referring to location/environment/circumstance?  Is it time that your organisation considered outsourcing specific services to virtual, digital businesses.

Today's ever improving technical advances are securing a huge increase in the remote workforce. Business leaders and employees alike are benefiting from the capabilities of being able to work literally anywhere that has good internet access.

In a survey carried out jointly by the British Chamber of Commerce and BT Business in 2015 it clearly revealed how widespread the growth of remote workers is:
"The survey polled more than 300 high-ranking decision-makers from small to medium-sized businesses.
The results showed that 91% of firms in Britain have at least one employee working from home and 19% of companies claimed that they had over 50% of their employees working remotely, away from the office.
According to the statistics gathered by the British Chamber of Commerce:
"In the first quarter of 2014, 4.2 million staff across the UK were working from home. This figure equates to an astonishing 13.9% of the workforce and is still growing."
With the continued growth and capability of Smartphones and Digital Technology, as long as reliable internet connectivity is available, flexible working is now proving to be the norm for many businesses.

Organisations are also benefiting from an expanding talent pool of remote workers, which in turn lowers the costs of accessing difficult to find expertise. By taking on freelance remote workers they can seek the talent needed without being confined to logistics and National borders.

This improved flexibility is also responsible for creating an entirely new generation of Entrepreneurs and Digital Nomads, specialising in providing digital services and expertise. Remote workers, often business owners in their own right, are taking advantage of these opportunities by acquiring the highly demanded skills and services needed and achieving very lucrative positions.

Some of the benefits of hiring remote workers include:

Increased Productivity

Happier More Relaxed Employees

Increased Creativity

Improved Work/Life Balance

No Wasted Commuting Time

Larger Talent Pool

Increased Financial Benefits

At a recent Networking event it became clear that the amount of wasted time spent travelling and parking that commuters and business owners undertake, just to get behind their desks costs organisations enormously.

Maybe it's time to reflect on how your organisation could benefit from making a few simple changes to technology and the way in which your employee's work.  This could not only increase productivity and help make financial savings but at the same time create a happier, less stressful working environment.
